It sounds like your daughter may have Pink Eye, it s nothing to serious but it can be very irritating. There is now over the counter medication available at your local pharmacy to treat Pink Eye, it is in the form of eye drops and shouldn't be to uncomfortable for your little one. Also, for the discomfort and itching that most times accompanies this infection, try an ice pack wrapped in a terry towel, for a few minutes at a time. Be careful not to long though, or you'll harm her tender skin.

Every opening in the body produces more mucus when you are sick as a defensive mechanism, including the eyes. That is why noses run. That is normal. However, as the two ladies have already mentioned, it may also be a sign of conjunctivitis. The best thing to do would be to take her to her pediatrician to make sure that she does not have conjunctivitis. I have noticed that most patients with conjuncitivis do not complain of other symptoms other than the irritated eyes, but it's better to play it safe and go to the doctor.
I would also like to mention that conjunctivitis is HIGHLY contageous. Until you can get to the doctor, treat her like she has it. Make sure that you are cleaning around her eyes with clean cloths and do not reuse them. Do not apply compresses as this may actually irritate the eyes more. Also make sure everybody washes their hands thoroughly and often. And it would probably be a good idea to isolate her from the rest of the family.

She probably has a sinus infection, which has moved into her eyes.
The white yellowish stuff is a sign of infection, the only thing that will cure an infection is antibiotics.
If she hasn't already been to the doctor, you need to take her. If she has been and he gave her antibiotics, you need to call him back and let him/her know that she may need a different type of antibiotic and let him/her in on the eye situation.

his is going to be kind of tough on u. Trying to keep your DD hands away from her eyes. Use a clean wash cloth with warm water to wipe them. Then pat dry again with a clean towel. It is eye infection. An eye doctor or family physician can prescribe or provide samples to clear it up. If left untreated it can really get serious. U don't mention antibiotics, depending on your DD health it may or may not be prescribed. But u need to check with medical personnel

How that usually ends up for me is it ends up being conjunctivitis aka Pink eye. Just take her to the doctor to get some eye drops and be very careful. Don't let her rub her eyes. Get a warm washcloth wet and wash out each eye. Use one corner for each eye so you don't spread the infection. GL

Well it sounds like she might have a infection causing it. You might want to contact her doctor and talk with him about it. It could be a cold settled in her eyes or something else. Call your doctor please. Don't wait to long.
