I know this may sound crazy, but I think that loud bass music makes me sick. For example, I was sitting in my friend's car and he had his subwoofer way up. I immediately started feeling my ear start to ache, then the pain moved down my ear to the throat, and within a day I had a very bad cold and could still feel the pain on the same side that the speaker was on. Also, the other day I was at a club and the bass was really loud, and within a few minutes my stomach was so upset that I had to leave.

My friends can't stop making fun of me for saying this, but I really think that it makes me sick somehow. Any reasons for this? I would REALLY love to prove them all wrong! Thanks!

yes, it can make you sick, music affects the ears and ears affect the brain, you get motion sickness like this.
Your friend are most likely half deaf already so it doesn affect you because you can still hear. Most old musicians are half death because of noise. My advice, lose the friends or get earplugs.

Loud bass makes me sick, too. I can't go to clubs or concerts, and sometimes have to leave bars, too. You are not alone; my friends think I'm weird, too.
