I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes about a year ago, and have changed my diet and go on the treadmill regularly. Yet it seems I can't lose weight.

I have been dieting a doing quite well. The problem is that when I went to weigh myself, I had regained 3 pounds. I have been eating the same as when the loss was going on (eating VERY well and VERY healthy). Is this normal? I won't give up but I am a bit disappointed and concerned.

My son is 6 years old. He is a small boy and I want to get him into the Martial Arts. My family is big on Kenpo...but I don't know much about it. If I ask them they will say Karate is the only thing for him. Are there other types of karate or just one? What about other styles? I want him to learn discipline, respect, and self-confidence. He will be growing up in a family of TALL people all 6'0 and above. He will only be 5'8.....mmmmaaaaybe. I want him to be comfortable with his frame and earn the advantages that come with his size. Perhaps a style that focuses on balance and agility instead of strength or aggression? Any help or information would be appreciated.

Okay, this is a multi-part question. Two questions for the price of one, I'm such a cheater!

Anyway, first off--is attempting suicide really illegal? I've never heard of anyone being arrested for attempting suicide, unless it resulted in other people being hurt.

Now, after someone attempts suicide and lives, what happens to them? Let's assume that they're not suffering any brain damage or internal injuries or anything from swallowing poison or pills--so they're basically okay except for whatever terrible thing is going on in their head. What happens? Are they forced into a mental health facility? Forced into therapy? Or are they just allowed to go back into society like nothing ever happened?

Hey well it's unfortunate when many hard working Americans can not afford health insurance. Even more disturbing is that non working lower class people get their health insurance paid for by the gov't with our tax dollars. The current system goes against logic, and the capitalist system because the more money someone makes the better off that person should be. It is simply not the case though anymore. Many hard working Americans can not enjoy the necessities as those that make much less. I ask you to examine what is currently wrong with the system, and provide solutions on how to fix it. -Kevin

I'm in the first 1/3rd of getting a complete dental work up, the last 3 weeks I've had 2 sessions a week lasting just over 2 hours each. The last was this past wednesday. Thursday night my throat became a bit sore and worsened over the last few days. There's no swelling or other typical signs of cold/virus. Could this be sore's caused by the dental work (ie decay draining down the throat). I've been rinsing with salt water & the last few weeks I'd been brushing with salt water and baking soda as part of my treatment. I haven't felt much relief and though I have a high pain threshold I can hardly sleep at night, even with otc and prescription pain killers. What could the cause be?

Not looking for any quick fixes, but does anyone have any good weight loss ideas? Something that worked for you or someone you know. I know diet and exercise, but sometimes good dieting tips make it more bearable. Thanks!

First off, I hate a few individuals, with everything in me.

Secondly, I hate President Bush, his administration, the Democrats who are not forcing impeachment proceedings and his supporters for being blind.

How can I stop hating? I hate the fact that I hate so many people.
