I think I may be able to help you. Here's what you have to do. I am with hope's that you do not have high blood pressure. For starters eliminate all soft drinks. If you must have a soft drink add 1/2 soda and the other water. Forget the diet drinks they are all damaging. Try Arizona Dieter's Tea. This is a big big boost on shedding lbs. Drink pleanty of water.

Now here is what you have to do. Go to Academy and buy a jumping rope, a trampoline and 2lb wrist weights. Also, buy a timer.

Before working out in any form do stretch for 3 minutes.

Set the timer for 3 minutes. Begin to jump rope as best you can. It is fine if you must stop and resume. Once the 3minutes is up wait 2 minutes and set it for another 3 minutes and resume the jumping rope. When it stops wait 2 minutes and repeat. You will do this in 3 minute intervals with 2 minute breaks. A total of 9 minutes in jumping rope as best you can and 6 minutes of rest. You will do fine.

Next, you will run in place using the 3 minute intervals with 2 minute breaks. Do this as best you can.

Now, the trampoline you will march in place raising you legs as high as you can. Again, you will use the 3 minute intervals with 2 minute breaks.

Finally, with the wrist weights you will shadow box using the 3 minute intervals with 2 minute breaks.

All this is cardio and you will boost your metabolism into active gear. And as you can see you will have done 36 minutes of exercising.

If by chance you have a stationery bike, a treadmill you may incorpate the usage of these equipment using the 3 minute intervals with 2 minute breaks.

Keep in mind that celebrities use trainers to motivate them by pushing them to workout 2-4 hrs per day to prepare for a physical upcoming role.

You in the other hand have to do it for yourself. This information that I have given you is good and it works. If you have a swimming pool, jump in and relax after the hard workout.

I look forward to hearing how you are coming along.

Well.. IF you can afford going to a gym regularly, that is best and working out on the treadmill, the standing bicycle and other such trinkets that they have there and then hitting the steam room for 10 or so minutes and of course.. drastically changing your diet.. Believe me.. it is necessary for you if you want to live with much.. (considerably) lesson chances of diabetes, heart problems, etc. I was overweight and was on blood pills(two types) and was borderline diabetic... I started working out, changing diet and threw the pills away.

If you cannot afford a gym (NOT a personal trainer that they try to push onto you for a huge price), then a good medium to fast pace walk of 3-4 miles a day PLUS cutting out of greasy foods, cookies, cakes, ice cream, Kentucky Fried 'Chicken, etc etc. You can do it if you REALLY want to .... I hate diets but on the other hand.. one has to TRY.. TRY to look at it as a new adventure

Well I would start out slow start walking and sit ups are a good Idea. Then I would move to bike riding that is best because it used more mucsles. I have had to run for years and I have found it's not good for your knees bike riding is better. crunches are better then sit ups because it works more of your abs

Walking first, dude. Try walking on the beach if you're near one. The sand is a better workout and you can always take a dip to cool off.

Start slowly, and realize that exercise needs to become part of your life -- not just something you do for now to lose weight. Walking your dog (if you have one), is a great way to begin. Don't expect overnight miracles either. A really great website that is FREE is www.sparkpeople.com. I lost 30 lbs with their help. Lots of ideas and support!

If you're 50 years old, you should know how to spell "grossly."
Walk every day for about 25 minutes, and take care of your dietary habits. You may also want to invest in a treadmill and other gym equipments.

chromium picolonate...it makes the metabolism (that has slowed down because of age) move faster so you burn calories faster.

Walking is good. Give yourself a goal (neighborhood store?) and walk to it. Or when you go to the store park the furthest from the store and walk. Just keep active.

gotta start out slow... walking first. try to do 20 minutes of walking fast.. if you cant do 20, then do 10. move your time up as you get better. walk faster as time goes on. then move up to running.

eat protein and veggies for meals while doing this

add in weight lifting.

you'll look better than in your 20s!
