Hey well it's unfortunate when many hard working Americans can not afford health insurance. Even more disturbing is that non working lower class people get their health insurance paid for by the gov't with our tax dollars. The current system goes against logic, and the capitalist system because the more money someone makes the better off that person should be. It is simply not the case though anymore. Many hard working Americans can not enjoy the necessities as those that make much less. I ask you to examine what is currently wrong with the system, and provide solutions on how to fix it. -Kevin

I don't have the expertise to know how to fix this tremendous problem we have in America but I do know this. The drug companies are draining the pockets of Americans with outrageous prices on drugs. There should be some kind of cap on the percentage companies can charge above the cost of making the drugs. Pharmacies vary greatly in what they charge for drugs also so they, too, should have percentage caps on what they charge. Health insurance companies demand ridiculous prices for coverage and co-pays are out the roof. Hospitals charge enormous prices for simple procedures. The whole health care industry is out of control and the average American is getting gouged until they can't afford to use the insurance they have. And the elderly are making the choice of medications or food and shelter. It's a sad commentary on a country such as America.
