i have been training to run a marathon and have been gradually increasing my distance, but the last few days i cant go more than a mile and a half with out getting a pain in my side so bad i have to stop. usually when this happens i try to slow breath through my nose and out my mouth and this helps, but not the last few days. What causes the pain and what can i do to help it not to happen at all??

Its not too dark, and I have had many before so I am prepared with a good cover up but I wanted to know if there were any tricks to help get rid of it so I don't have to worry about the cover up the whole night.. (i go to work in several hours)

This is probably a crazy question. I just got the piercing done yesterday. The area around the piercing is red and it's sore...which I suppose is normal for a recently done piercing. But I'm just worried because I got my nose pierced before and it did the same thing then got infected.

My 7 year old daughter somehow has injured the heel of her foot. She has been limping and I am wondering how long it will take to heal. She has been to the doctor and he told me to come back in 3 weeks. Is there anything I can do to help her foot feel better? She likes putting it in cool water. I am going to ask the doctor about a brace, because any kind of pressure seems to agrivate it. It is hard to make her sit still all day to give it a chance to get better. Has anyone else done this, or have a child that has injured his/her foot. It mostly hurts on the heel where she walks.

When I went to my doctor, she told me that if I was older she would test me for a gall bladder disease, but I'm only 13, so she didn't. My family has had a history of getting diseases early, so I'm worried. She told me I just had extra stomache acid and was lactose intolerant, but my acid pills only work occcasionally and my lactose pills don't work at all. When I eat greasy foods, dairy or a regular-sized meal, I get low stomache cramps, diahrea, somtimes nausea, and low stomache pain. All I can eat at a time without getting these symptoms is a couple peices of plain toast or such no less than an hour or two apart. Could I have gall bladder problems?

I'm 37 and have been diagnosed with RA last year. I've been seeing doc, but don't feel he's taking me seriously. He seems to be one of the arrogant sort. I'm not sure how to handle the situation. He asked me on my last visit if the meds were helping and I answered honestly, saying "no". He became very belligerant and almost nasty, telling me my "pain was not that bad", and I "expect too much". At the time, I had only been on treatment less than 4 weeks. He told me up front that it would take 6 weeks to see improvement. It took 8 weeks to see anything. The only improvement has been in the swelling of my joints about 3 or 4 days a week. I have another appointment Monday, and am seriously afraid to to tell him that I'm still in pain. How do I handle this situation without being yelled at again?
