my brother just had emergency surgery yesterday because his spleen exploded.has anyone ever heard of this ? he had no trauma to it. The Dr did not have a answer to how or why this happened. Also How important is your spleen?

I started having a very strange pain in my shin about 10 days ago. It's actually to the outside of my left shinbone. The strange thing is that it only hurts when touched or when I walk a lot, but the pain feels almost like the pain from a burn. Even just light contact with the skin, like something brushing against it, can cause serious pain. Any kind of pressure on it is pretty excruciating. It feels almost like a sunburn rather than the pain that comes from trauma. The pain feels almost entirely like it's at the skin level, rather than in the muscle.

There is no visible discoloration or anything, and I don't remember doing anything to that spot. The area with the pain is about 6-8 sq inches on my leg. The pain hasn't lessened since I started noticing it, and it has started hurting when I walk more often than it did at first. I can't sleep on my left side because even that light pressure on it hurts too much. Any ideas what could have caused this? Did I damage a nerve or something?

Both my parents got diagnosed with very light diabetes 3 years ago, my dad is 63 and my mom is 52, my grandfather has diabetes he was an alcoholic and ate very bad, my uncle has diabetes, my brother does too, my parents are overweight ( but didn't used to be) and so is my uncle, i'm a 24 year old female and thin, will i definately get diabeted since its a genetic disease?

I use trimmer and than cut with a scissors. There have been 2-3 incidents when I accidentally cut my skin. Fcuk. It is painful. I should be more careful. What is the best way to get rid of hairs around my balls? What do u guys use?

I recently discovered that a good friend of mine is bulimic and it worries me a lot. She wants help and I want to get her into some counseling. This week, my brother14), cousin15) and I decided we would start workin out at the YMCA. We went Monday, Tuesday, then today. Thats 3 days we've gone. Today we worked out on the weights and while I was finishing a set of weights on the leg machine, my brother got on one of the bikes. I finished on my leg machine and my cousin and I stood and watched my brother on this bike. Then this older white lady who works for the YMCA comes and asks if they have been through some orientations that kids 12-15 should go through. I told her that the front desk never said anything and the other 2 days no one said anything, and the guy who also holds the same positon as her didn't say anything and he said hi to us as we walked in. She was kinda rude to. There were other kids in there to that looked under15 and I didn't see no yellow tag that they are supposed to have on them. If my brother wasn't using the machine inapropriatly, then why did she have to come and bother us? Am I wrong for my thinking?

Ok. Sorry for the uncomfortable topic. :) My friend claims that she farts GAS out of her vagina. She asked me for advice on how she could stop. However, I told her that it wasn't gas and that it was just air getting trapped into her vagina. She totally disagreed with me. Is it physically possible to have gas come out of your vagina? Seems anatomically improbable.

I have been taking the pill for about three months now. When I first started I gained ten pounds. I have been working really jard to lose weight and have lost 62 pounds. I feel that the pill is keeping me from losing more because ever since I started taking them I have maintained my weight no matter how little I eat and how much I exercise. I really want to stop taking them and I will if I can start losing wieght again. Has this happened to anyone else?
