Ufcourse its not true. The women that are in their period and do not bleed-they are just using tampons that is why they don't show that they are bleeding. As far as the shower- you still bleed its just the water is fast running, mixes with your blood and washes it away fast so you don't notice it. But you still are bleeding.

No, that's NOT true! trust me I know. I swim often and swim competatively! As far as the shower part, you're not usually in the shower that long and there are times when you won't bleed for a while! Shower, swim, whatever, just don't think that the blood will stop flowing in the water! That is bogus!

It's not true. The water just washes the blood away before it has a chance to build up to noticeable amounts. Blood is water soluble (for the most part), and so it just gets diluted in the water when you bathe or swim in a pool. Unless you've built up a lot of blood on your genitals anyway, it shouldn't be noticeable. It's not like your period is a hemorrhage, where the blood loss is huge - it's just not that large of an amount in the first place.

I don't know about other girls, but I still bleed when I'm showering and I have my period. It's only noticeable if you feel around your vagina though, because the water washes the blood away. It's OK to shower while you have your period, in fact it keeps you cleaner and it's more hygienic that way

actually i kind of noticed that too. i thought wow! how does my body know i'm taking a shower and stop bleeding?!!
what really happens is...when you take a shower...its probably at a time your not bleeding anyways. So sometimes it'll seem like your not bleeding..and sometiems you will but it won't be that much. Its hit and miss.
