Well more average weight than height, but just tell me what is average or ideal. Like 5'2? 100 lbs? Is that anywhere near right?

And also, some effective, easy, positive ways to shed some pounds this summer would be nice.

Oh i wasn't saying that I am 5'2 and 100 lbs, I was asking if that was about average. Like most by this age would already have hit puberty correct? like, 8th or 9th grade girls.

cross country skiing sheds some pounds, grizzly bear wrestling, shark diving, ninja lessons, pencil fighting, riverdancing, pelican hunting, caribou racing, you could do some coke too. Oh and your weight, that depends on your development. Do you have boobs yet? If so then you should be a little heavier and when comes the boobs, so comes the tush and a little thickness is better than seeing all your bones. Stick with it.

There is no "ideal" height because that is bases on genetics.
Go to www.annecollins.com to find the "ideal" weight for your height.
And I just want to say don't get yourself into a tizzy over weight. Eat right, but indulge too! Exercise, but not too much!
I'm three years older than you and I felt the same way when I way your age. Guess what happened? Well, I'll tell you this much, I spent my entire last summer on my deathbed due to anorexia.
Please don't fret - let your body take it's natural course and you will be what you are supposed to be!

There is no "ideal" weight at age 13. Most doctors that see adolescents will give you your height and weight as a percentile (a percentage compared to what other 13 year olds weigh). Please keep in mind that at this age everyone is different. Your parents' history plays a part, as well as if you have already gone through puberty.
Again, don't worry about being "ideal". As long as you exercise and eat healthy, you'll have nothing to worry about.

At 13 you are still growing and changing. There is no ideal. You will be what you are to be. You can control weight. Don't spend your time this summer inside watching TV. Your body was made to be active. Swim, jog, ride your bike, play sports and stay away from junk food and you'll be fine. Thats as easy as it gets.

You are just fine, and I would not shed any pounds at the moment. You are not overweight, and your body is going through a lot of changes.

Let it ride for the moment. I would worry about you if you dropped under 100 lbs.

well it depends cuz they start puberty at that age so they could be taller or shorter but i would say like 5' 2'' and 90-100 pounds that seems right and for the weight loss just check how many calories you eat and try to eat less calories than that cause calories = fat

Weight depends on height - there are lots of online sources to help you figure out what you body mass index (BMI) should be, but it's better to talk to a doctor.
As for losing weight - exercise always helps. Walk, bike, swim, weights, whatever works for you. With the better weather here, I like to walk errands as much as possible.

Silly girl! There isn't such a thing as an ideal! Eat healthy and be active this summer and you will be what is ideal and healthy for YOU. If you worry about your weight at this crucial time of your life you could stunt your mental as well as physical growth and possibly worse. Be proud of who you are and enjoy your life!
