I think that it depends on what you are trying to acheive. If you are looking to lose weight then aerobics are the way to go. Yoga really helps with toning however it can be really challenging if you are carrying a lot of weight on your body. Aerobics are way more fun than yoga but depending on what type of yoga is being done yoga can be fun also.

yoga and aerobics is like comparing apples to oranges, they work the body in different ways.

aerobics = uses lots of oxygen, burns fat, burn calories, builds endurance and improve cardio health

yoga = is generally an anaerobic exercise, uses less oxygen than aerobic exercise but generally emphasizes a deeper breathe, builds strength and endurance in the major and minor muscles groups, and improves flexibility and balance.

i personally prefer intense yoga sessions as opposed to running, but love the "dancing" style of floor aerobics.

try it all and have fun!

Both are good but aerobics is the most preferable because it is easy and one burns more calories than in yoga. Music also gives good support. Yoga is slow and takes lots of time and not suitable all age groups. Also, yoga is not suitable for persons suffering from certain diseases and disorders.

Both are really necessary. Yoga is more for lengthening and low impact strength training. Aerobics are cardiovascular power moves. Both can be fun, tho I enjoy my Yoga and Pilates more than my Aerobics.

aerobics...from personal experience of both...is more of a workout but can get tireing and not be fun anymore...yoga is more relaxing which would make you happier and it stretches you out but its not going to make you loose weight really or anything.

I do both on different days. That way I stay thin, have fun, don't get bored, and also keep my flexibility.
