Although every doctor and medication label in the world of mental illness screams DON'T DO IT.. here's my experience..
I am bipolar.. take seroquel and lamictal.. have finally been stable for a couple years after many trials with different medications..
I very rarely drink.. but have had 3 or 4 beers in the evening a few times.. maybe sitting out on the back deck to relax a little on the weekend or whatever.. nothing like before my diagnosis and drinking myself into a relative coma as an ill-mannered attempt at self-medicating this affliction..
I had no problems with it at all.. I never drank more than 4 beers.. and waited a couple extra hours before taking my meds at night.. long enough for the body to process the alcohol..
be smart about it.. plan the dinner/drink early in the evening and take the meds as prescribed.
Or postpone the meds until after the alcohol has been metabolized.
It is definitely not advisible to combine them.
If you have any doubts about how this would affect you .. use common sense and don't even try it. I am sure the warnings are there for a reason..

I used to be on Celexa and Seroquel. I had to take them in the mornings because i was on strong doses. In2004, on Halloween night I forgot to take meds inthe morning so i took them inthe evening before i went to a party. I had a few beer blacked out woke up behind the wheel wrecked into the rear of someone at a red light and was arrested for a DUI. I didn't blow so i only got a reckless operation ticket, but it scared the **** out of me because I could've seriously hurt someone. If you're going to drink on those meds, drink lightly, do it at home, hide your keys from yourself and make sure that you have someone with you. Personally, i got off the meds. they interfered with normal life too much for me.

Try it and see what happens. If you only have one glass, it won't kill you. If it makes you feel ill, don't do it again. The chances are that they say not to on the bottles because the alcohol nprevents the medicenes from working while also being mildly psychoactive itself. On the other hand, you might find that mixing them is extremely fun.
THIS IS VERY BAD ADVICE. PLEASE DO NOT FOLLOW IT.

Not safe at all! Never mix drugs and alcohol. It is a disaster waiting to happen. If in doubt, talk to your pharmacist or doctor. My advice is -- 'Don't'
