Just this week he ran a fever of 103 and complained of stomach pain. Now he has a swollen area on the left side of his stomach and it is very sore. Could it be his spleen? He has also lost 5 pounds and is very tired.

I see all this stuff on the news about how horrible the sun is for your skin...but is it really so? I always thought the sun was good for your skin. I love to surf, go to the beach on weekends and am in the sun in a bathing suit pretty much all day, so I'm starting to worry

I have been on antibiotics for 48 hours after experiencing an excruciating toothache for about a week. I self prescribed Motrin 800 mg, and some kind of antibiotic. THEN I went to the dentist. He prescribed Amoxicillin (500 mg) and Naproxen Sodium (pain pill).

Last night I rinsed my mouth with Hydrogen Peroxide off and on for roughly 7 hours to deal with the pain. This morning I woke up to a stiff jaw and a swelling between my jawbone and neck. The swelling is pretty large - about 2 inches in diameter. Face feels tight.

The toothache pain is intermittent, and I wonder: is this normal? Does this mean the infection is leaving? And if so, how will this lump on the side of my face drain?

I'm not overweight but ever since having my baby 10 months ago I havent been able to keep my tummy in line. I've been exercising but the love handles and front lower abdomin pudge won't go away. Also, Has anyone tried the Simply Slender body wraps? Do they work?

A friend of mine may need some personal counseling (possibly psychological), but her health insurance won't cover visits to a private psychiatrist/psychologist. And I don't think she'd be comfortable talking with a minister or preacher (I already suggested that). Anyone know of a community place that offers this service?

I'm feeling terribly lost. I wander around work and throw up my hands, wondering what the hell am I doing? I feel so lost and alone that I really feel like I have no place in the world. most of my family is overweight, on both sides. it is really hard for me to lose weight i have tried diet after diet, started watching everything i eat i only drink diet pepsi when i have soda which is not very often, i drink water about 95% of the time, i have tried counting calories while doing step aerobics and nothing helps i gain weight regardless of what i eat and how much exercise i do could this be a hereditary problem?

I am still freaked out about what happened to me yesterday. It was really late and I was hungry, I went to the kitchen to find a snack. I picked up an open pack of trail mix; I did not know it had been there since Easter. While I was eating it I felt one kind of powder in my mouth, then I noticed it was on my hands. I continued eating, but shortly after, my face and arms were itching and felt like there was something crawling on them. I got up from my computer and turned on the light, then sat down to and looked to see what it was. It wasn’t powder, it was hundreds of tiny (by tiny I mean you can barely see them) red-orange ants. immediately I took off my shirt and through it (I have always been afraid of ants because of a mistake I made when I was younger, I climbed a large ant hill in Louisiana, I had to be hosed down and taken to the hospital), then the worst part, I notice they were coming from my trail mix, that I was eating. I sprayed lysol and bleach on my floor and clothes.

my knees sound like pop corn when I do lunges and balanced lunges, but there is no pain. I am 47, and wonder if I am slowly damaging my knees. I have been doing the same split workout for about 5 years, with no change in my knee health. Should I change my technique? I am currently using 2 30lb dumbells and do 3 sets of 25 reps. My mother has been storing my twin size matteress/bed at her house where she smokes. I am moving and want to bring the bed and matress to my new house for my 4 year old but I do not want him to have to smell the smoke. Does anyone have any good ideas or tricks on how to remove that smell?

It has been in the house since I was in High School so maybe around 10 years. I know I might just have to go buy a new one but thought if anyone had any good suggustions first it could save me a few hundred dollars as I have a new baby on the way also.
