Sometimes merely acting like you are in a good mood will miraculously raise your spirits. You may have to give it a little time, but persistance can pay off!
A positive outlook can do wonders.

There is never only one answer. If the Prozac isn't working, call your doctor.
You didn't say how long you had been on it, but my husband switched from Zoloft to Prozac, and he had problems for the first 3 weeks or so with increased depression.
Not only do you need a medical doctor to help regulate the medication, you may need to see a counselor (sociologist or even a clergy person) to talk to.
But you are not alone, and I know that everyone who reads your post is sending you good thoughts. You will get through this, you just need a little help right now. Be gentle with yourself, and take care.

I have yet to understand how doctors expect a bunch of toxic chemicals in a pill or an injection, will solve someones mental health difficulties. Talking about your problems with a good therapist, is the only way you are going to know, your problems are being addressed on an individual level.
When lost, stand still, observe the trees, Trees know where they are.
When lost, observe the birds in the air, the birds know where they are going.
You can get through this, keep talking, wishing you Good Health, Peace and Happiness.

I understand. I feel like this more often than I care to mention. I have lots of friends, but i feel alone. I spend a lot of my time crying like I am right now. I also feel like maybe I there is only one solution for me as well. But you know what? Don't do it. I know it's hard to get involved with other things, but try. I do. I have dogs also, and they are fantastic for mood elevation.
I hope just knowing that you are NOT alone in your thoughts is comforting to you. I hope we can overcome this. I'll be thinking of you. Take care.

Been there, done that. Newsflash...the sun will set tonight and rise tomorrow, with or without you. No matter how bad you feel right now, life goes on. Get some help, there's a lot out there.

Get out of your head, step outside of yourself, free your mind. Take a vitamin. Read. See a good movie. Make a constructive 'things to do' list. Stop thinking so much. Just DO something.

The medicine will kick in but it takes time. Tell your Dr. how bad you feel. You may need another kind of treatment.
