In a medial report could someone please explain to me what "grossly unremarkable" means..?

My friend read this in her sisters autopsy report and was wondering what it meant. Anyone know?

It means that the organs (or whatever) the doctor was looking at in the autopsy "appeared" to be normal. That means it was a visual exam only, which is different from the doctor cutting in to them or looking at them under a microscope for a more detailed examination.

sounds like an oxymoron to me...like exceptionally average
