Muscle cramps can be caused by dehydration. You need to be sure that you are drinking lots of water before you run, during your run and after your run. You could also try taking a few extra minutes to stretch your abs a little more than normal before you run too. If all else fails, I'd see a doctor or a personal trainer who has experience in marathon running.

the same thing happens to me, and i can't figure out the cause. what i have been doing that helps is that you slow down your pace, and breathe deep and totally expand your diaphragm almost like pushing out your belly, then fully contract it to let all the air out. if i keep doing that for a while it stops the diaphragm from spasming. then i can speed up and i'm okay.

cramps have a combination of causes
if you ate a lot beforehand and there isn't a lot of blood in the muscles, you may cramp up
if there isn't sufficient oxygen flow to your muscles, you may cramp up
if you didn't adequately stretch and warmup, you may cramp up (yes, even in your midsection)
maybe you are pushing yourself too hard too fast--cardio endurance needs to be built over time
hope that helps

its usually caused by not breathing properly, or by eating or drinking too much before you run.
try the slow breathing techniques, or try singing to yourself as you run to control your breathing.

did you eat alot..cause that can do it..
do you not eat anything yet..or what about did you have to much water..I use to have the same thing when i was in school..it's all about your body getting to much of one thing to fast..
If you are drinking water in between..maye don't drink alot at one time..or eat very little and see if any of these help..if not then see your doctor
