When I went to my doctor, she told me that if I was older she would test me for a gall bladder disease, but I'm only 13, so she didn't. My family has had a history of getting diseases early, so I'm worried. She told me I just had extra stomache acid and was lactose intolerant, but my acid pills only work occcasionally and my lactose pills don't work at all. When I eat greasy foods, dairy or a regular-sized meal, I get low stomache cramps, diahrea, somtimes nausea, and low stomache pain. All I can eat at a time without getting these symptoms is a couple peices of plain toast or such no less than an hour or two apart. Could I have gall bladder problems?

I also forgot to mention that my dad had colon cancer since he was about my age and had to have his large intestines removed.

I have had this problem for about a year and it has slightly worsened as time went by.

Ask to be tested for Cystic Fibrosis. These symptoms can be common in people with CF. Gall bladder may also be a factor, especially if this runs in your family!

(In response to Cheri-er-rn) Actually, mild cases of CF are often undiagnosed until they become problem-some in adulthood. This is especially true of people with digestive ailments being the main complaint, and pulmonary function mostly unaffected. CF in my own family was not diagnosed until my cousin was 23. Her only symptoms were inability to tolerate heavy, greasy foods, and constant upset stomach. Another likely cause could be IBS (Irritable bowel Syndrome).

Yes you very well good have gall bladder problems. You're gall bladder breaks down fats by secreting bile to break down the fats. People that have problems with this will have what is dumping syndrome. I would go to this website it will give you an idea as to what to do or not do to prevent these symptoms from happening. http://healthlink.mcw.edu/article/930606151.html. THE GOOD THING IS DIET CAN CONTROL THIS. DON'T EAT FATTY FOOD AND DON'T DRINK ALOT WHILE EATING.

Cystic fibrosis is usually diagnosed at infancy, (sorry AKQ but that was a reach, but good critical thinking skills:) Sounds to me like you need to make sure you eat a bland diet, and have mom take you to a different doctor. 13 is not too young for gall bladder problems, so you may need a specialist if this doc isn't doing anything for you. You worrying about it is going to make your symptoms worse also, stress will wreak havoc on any condition.
