My best friend is a also a vegan like me, or so I thought. Today I went to go over to her house to make banners for a protest when I noticed she had an exterminator at her house!!!!! I was shocked, how could she hurt those innocent beings. Should I confront her on this?

But my buddy's wife used to make it. It had about a stick of butter and corn flakes in it. I think sour cream as well. The only thing I found doing a quick find off of the net contained the fake meat, and hers did not. Anyone know what I'm talking about?

I'm an evil omnivore, but you couldn't beat that loaf she made, yum yummy!

I got a small sugar pumpkin in my vegetable box this week and am planning on making a pumpkin soup tonight for myself and my parents. Can anyone give me a really simple vegan recipe with simple ingredients? I have basic seasoning at home and don't really want to go out and buy anything extra. Thanks.

Honestly, have they secretly ever tasted it, is it such a big deal, just to taste a crispy bacon sandwch? ice cold letuce, the warm toast and butter and tomato melting in your mouth, to feel the fat dripping down your chin...so meaty, so delicious...mmmmmmm

Are you allowed to eat an animal that died naturally? Say... a dolphin that swam to close to the propellers?

Recently I got into a violent argument about whether or not humans are carnivores. I say they're not, because carnivores eat raw meat. If we tried to eat bloody meat we would get sick! Our stomachs cant digest the raw meat that other animals eat. It would just rot. Plus carnivores have sharp teeth to tear apart their prey, which we do not. Grr!

Whats your stand?

Hi! I have always wanted to become a vegetarian, I am a huge animal lover. I never made the change, and I want to know that I am starting a family of my own. I would love to set a god example for my children. I always let life get in the way when it was just me and my husband. We ate whatever is quick and easy (and my husband loves to grill), so that usually meant meat based meals, or junk food. Does anyone know of some good Vegetarian cookbooks? (easy to cook, I am a very unexperienced cook). And maybe some Vegetarian grill recipes? What is a good way for me to incorporation this adjustment into the life of a couple with poor eating habits?

meatless options, such as Morningstar, Boca, ect, that may be owned by larger corporations that distribute meat products?

My example is if you found out that a meatless option you wer eating was produced by a company that went against you ethics, ie: Tyson, would you still eat the veggie burgers?

I saw something in someone's answer today that made me contemplate this.

Thanks!

When i was younger, i used to love eating meat, chicken, and even fish. But for some reason, a while after my parents and i moved, i just started getting extremely nauseous when i smelled fish. So, after a while, i stopped eating it completely.. A year or so after that, the same thing happened again.. but this time, it was with meat. So, i just stopped eating meat. Two years after that, i had to stop eating chicken too. Ever since, i haven't been able to be anywhere around meat, fish, or poultry of any kind. I've been a vegetarian for about three and a half years or so, and i'd like to know why my body just suddenly started rejecting the foods i used to love. I mean, now it's gotten to the point where i can't even see a picture of meat or hear anything about people eating it without wanting to throw up. My parents have tried to get me to eat meat and chicken, but when i tried to eat just a little piece of chicken, the instant i had swallowed it, i immediately threw up. Any help here?

I've been a veggie for nine months now and it's been great! Thing is, since I don't eat meat anymore, I have a tendency to over indulge in sweets because salads, soups and veggie wraps don't fill me up. I love fish and I heard quite a few vegetarians allow this in their diet.

My question is, how will I feel once I allow this back in my diet? I'm scared I'll have huge stomach pains and a sensitive digestive system. I know I would never eat chicken, beef or pork again because I'm completely disgusted with the food industry. I know fish should be no exception, but I really need some protein!

Any advice? Thanks.
