I've been a veggie for nine months now and it's been great! Thing is, since I don't eat meat anymore, I have a tendency to over indulge in sweets because salads, soups and veggie wraps don't fill me up. I love fish and I heard quite a few vegetarians allow this in their diet.
My question is, how will I feel once I allow this back in my diet? I'm scared I'll have huge stomach pains and a sensitive digestive system. I know I would never eat chicken, beef or pork again because I'm completely disgusted with the food industry. I know fish should be no exception, but I really need some protein!
Any advice? Thanks.

Yes, Michael H, I understand your point. That's why I put "pescetarian" in the title. I'm contemplating on eating fish, but not sure I'm going to go through with it. It's the only meat I really miss. But I will look into the fish industry, perhaps that will help me fight this craving. :)

Vegeraians do not eat meat, fish, poultry nor slaughter by-products.

Tricky question primarily because of the general viewpoint by many vegs that pesca is a nice way to work your way into vegetarianism, but a horrible thing to go backward into, as that would be quiting. And there is some truth to that, and the feeling like you are needing protien is likely psychosomatic and hardly something to give in to. But, as a pescatarian i really dont have much room to talk. So, if you must regress, probably sushi is the best way to do it, raw food is so much easier on the stomach and it is generally the healthiest way to eat fish.

Okay, there's no such thing as a vegetarian who eats fish. And pescatarian is a made-up word so people who eat no flesh but fish can have a handy little label.
You probably don't need as much protein as you think you do. Even vegans get too much. Stop overindulging in sweets and eat lots of hearty fiber-rich foods. Eat a variety of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, beans, and nuts, and you'll get all the protein you need.

I am a fish/seafood eater that eats no other meat. The majority of my diet is grains, vege's, nuts and fruit. I only buy wild caught fish, because the fish "industry" has become like the rest of the meat industry. Farm raised fish are fed hormones, antibiotics, etc., which I don't think my body needs. That's why I stopped eating meat.

OK do you realize you are on a vegan/vegetarian board asking how to eat animals?
There are plenty of vegan and vegetarian proteins you do not NEED to eat fish. Of course it is your choice if you WANT to eat fish but it is not a NEED.
Sweets don't fill you up they just make you more hungry. Make some rice and beans, hummus on whole wheat pita with tomato and lettuce, natural peanut butter on a granny smith apple. All of these will fill you up and provide you with enough protein.
Look into the fish industry it isn't exactly pleasant.

Start slowly. Eat a little piece(2 oz) once a week then increase it. Most of the meat eating vegerarians I've come in contact with don't usually have a problem with eating a little meat once in a while.
However if all you're trying to do is fill yourself up a little more you really need to do some reading about what kind of food you should eat.
Beans, nuts, soy (tofu) all have a lot of protiens in them. yes the beans if not cooked correctly will give you a little more gas, but I'm sure you've noticed this already being a vegetarian.
You can't just stop eating meats, you have to know how to replace those protiens. Do some research... but be careful getting Beans out of can a lot of time the have some type of meat flavoring in them...

There is no such thing as a pescetarian.
Pecetarians are about as common as fairies and trolls.
They may be words to many people, but they aren't real.
Vegetarians do not eat animals.
Fish feel pain and suffer, so someone that eats fish does not get a special label.
