I'd rather die five years younger and enjoy my food than to live five years longer to save some stupid cow.

They could have eaten plenty of veggies. Why didn't they? Were they sinners? I heard some of those folks lived mighty old.

I am a vegetarian, so I do not eat meat but I eat seafood. So what am I supposed to eat (that is not meat but you can say some sort of seafood because I eat that) to get iron into my body?

Both are ethical. You have to eat to survive. For those that say eating meat is unethical, they need to think of the nutrient cycle. Dead animals enrich the soil leading to produce. Animals eat the produce. Animals get eaten by humans. Humans die and enrich the soil. Plants use our nutrients to grow and so on. There is nothing unethical going on. Just life.

Just wanted to know what kind of major restaurants I should avoid that veggies are not suppose to eat at? As in they used the same pan that they made a beef dish in...and so on and so forth.

As a vegetarian, I ask this:
1) What wines (red/white - be specific by type as well) go well with vegetables?
and
2) What wines are good with tofu? Drinking, not cooking wines mind you.

Thanks!
:)

Yes, we all know that I can't help smirking at vegetarians & vegans, but I was wondering about antibiotic use.

Would you use an antibiotic in a non-life-threatening situation? Would you wait until the condition WAS life-threatening? Would you take your doctor's word for it? What would yo do?

(note to the slow: antibiotics kill bacteria, which are living creatures)

I've been wondeirng about this since I was at a restaurant with my family. And then from another table a woman said that there was chicken in her tofu. I was thinking "come on, its no big deal.."

Is it because of weight loss? Because eating plain meat that comes from animals does NOT make you fat. Its the people who tamper with the meat that makes it fat.
Well still, I eat the occasional hamburger and steak and I stay the same weight for months.

Is it because you care of the animals? That you don't want to directly hurt them? Well, the food you eat are already DEAD (hopefully) so why do you even care, just eat it. Besides, humans harm animals daily , either directly or indirectly. Take for example, using paper. The more you keep on using paper, the more trees are going to be cut down, and the more habitats destroyed. The more gas/electicity you use, the more the bodies of waters and air are going to be polluted.

Eating meat can't get any more natural. Why the complaint?

When you cook dry beans and then freeze them, how do you use them after freezing? For example, I have some garbanzo beans in the freezer that I cooked a while ago. Now when I want to pull some out of the freezer to make hummus, how do I do it?

This girl just cried watching a lion get a baby antelope on TV - and all her tears dropped into the beef stew she was eating at the same time!!! Is it hypocrisy? Lack of knowledge or sensitivity? Or am I missing something here?
I'm confused! What do you think?
