I recently just found out what gelatin is. So now I will not eat anything with gelatin in it. I accidentally just ate a bunch of conversation hearts that I later found out had gelatin in them. Does this ever happen to you?Does it make you feel? I feel really bad. Because I am new to the whole not eating gelatin thing, how can I remember to always check labels before I eat something?

I bought Vitamin B12 Pills at the store and I'm taking those, are there any other vitamins I need to buy?

My wife and daugher are vegetarians and we recently heard from someone that smoke flavoring was made from a byproduct of cooking animal fat/meat. This of course would make smoke flavoring non-vegetarian.

Does anyone know how smoke flavoring is made?

I found, right next to the ‘fresh’ chicken, pre-prepared chicken slices with breaded seasoning etc. ready to take home and cook. They looked exactly like chicken, but actually were fake vegan chicken slices! It didn't even say ‘vegan’, but the ingredients spoke for themselves. I wonder if the staff didn't realize or if this is a new product display method. The meat and dairy companies have been fighting very hard and diligently to keep the dairy alternatives such as soy milk, soy cheeses, soy yoghurt away from their products; tofu has to be kept away in the deli section with fake meats etc., but in recent years they've been losing since they getting closer or even mixed together (I know dairy companies now make soy drinks & yoghurt... hm... perhaps they have started making fake meats too, planning ahead).

Have you noticed? Where you shop, are they separate? I think the closer they get to each other, the more interchangeable they will become; it’s a good thing. What do you think?

What's the best way to get iron in a vegetarian diet? I think I've heard that dark green leafy vegetables have it, like Kale and Spinach, but what else?

Why is Iron important and how much does one really need?

I know that they dont eat meat, but my mom is telling me other stuff. For lent I am giving up meat.I told my mom that I will not eat any kind of meat(fish meat, steak, chicken, crab meat, any kind of meat). But my mom said that vegetarians eat fish meat. I told her no they dont because people who love animals, dont eat any kind of meat because that once was a living animal, and if you love animals, you will not eat them. I still say that a vegetarian does not eat fish, but what do you think? WHAT DO VEGETARIANS EAT AND DONT EAT?
