To induce and increase egg production, chicken are kept in tight cages and kept awake under bright light 24 hours a day. Consider eating vegan and eliminating all animal products from your diet.

I have checked the nhs website and found no advice against eating eggs, actually they are recommended as a good source of protein, vitamins A, K, E, B12, Niacin, Folic Acid and Pantothenic Acid.
Other websites mention low calorie content per egg, all essential amino acids being present in eggs and traces of various minerals and elements
.
Recommended max consumption seems to around one egg per day or the equivalent of four egg yolks per week.
Various 'food pyramids' put eggs into the category of foods that can be consumed regularly but in moderation.
Moreover, people have been eating eggs for centuries or even millenia. Occasional cases of allergies or salmonella poisoning (through incorrect storage or cooking of eggs) aside, eggs have never caused any problems.
The problems start when people overdo it with their egg intake - full English Breakfast with two fried eggs, egg sarnie for lunch, followed by cake containing egg, combine that with a high alcohol intake and a low consumption of fruit and veg and you are bound to get health problems (I am exaggerating a bit here, but I think you get the idea).
To make it short - eggs in moderation as part of a healthy diet are good for you. If you gorge on junk food and booze and suffer - don't blame the lil' egg!

Yes it is fine to eat eggs, but just don't over do it and it will depend on the way that you cook them. Don't eat too many friend eggs. But if you poach them boil them scramble them or try other ways of cooking them and including them in recipes that will be okay

I and my man have one egg each every day for breakfast (boiled with runny yolk and firm white) and I can honestly tell you, it makes a difference to my mental agility in the morning. I have noticed if I have different breakfasts (eg cereal or fruit) that I am nowhere near as alert.
They're packed full of goodness such as protein and they're also very low in fat. Eat hardboiled with pepper on toast or as above with hash browns and bacon or sausage - yummy!
As with anything, as long as you don't overdo it and have too much, they're very good for you.

Eggs are actually very good for you. They dont affect your cholestral in any way and actually contain the RDA of B12 and a trace of zinc, zinc not being found in many other foods.
