I just use mine to steam veggies. Broccoli, string beans, caulifour, even carrots (but it takes just as long to cook them other ways).

I've seen some DimSum cooked in them at Chinese restaurants, but I don't have any recipes. Try and Google "dim sum recipe".

You can fish, chicken and even hard-cooked eggs in a steamer's rice basket. The steamers are delightful for many different types of food, but you can steam easily without one. Foods that are steamed are unparalleled in flavor and texture. Steaming is such a gentle way of cooking that it's a perfect method for delicate foods such as fish and seafood. And it's a must for cooking that basic item of Mexican cuisine, the tamale.

The three basic rules for steaming:

The liquid never should boil dry.

The liquid shouldn't touch the food.

The steam has to circulate freely in the steamer.

Make sure the food is at least one inch above the boiling water in the steamer so a rolling boil cannot boil the food. If you're going to steam something that is going to take time, you can put water in a teapot and set it on to boil, too, so you can use that to add more hot water when the steaming level gets low.

Butter-steaming in a skillet is an easy and quick way to cook asparagus and other long thin vegetables that can be spread over the bottom of the skillet. Just add a little butter or margarine and water to the skillet, add the asparagus, cover, and cook over medium-high for a few minutes, until you can smell the asparagus. It's the aroma of spring.

One word of caution: Steam can cause severe burns. Always open a steaming pot away from you and let the steam escape before you reach inside or look at the food.

I know this isn't a specific recipe but I hope it helps!
