Actually, people did eat a lot of grains, cheese, vegetables, and fruits. Meat was expensive in those days and reserved for special days such as feasts and wedding banquets.
The average meal would have been bread, cheese, olives, a dish or two of vegetables, fruit, and wine. So Christ and the disciples no doubt did eat "plenty of veggies."
And you're also confusing people like Methuselah with those who came after the Flood. God Himself put a limit on the length of time that people lived after that.
What any of this has to do with vegetarianism is beyond me, however. Are you implying that we're not true Christians unless we shove meat down our throats?
Please tell me where in the Bible it says, "Thou shalt eat meat or the archangel Porchopius shalt smite thee."

The Jewish diet was not based on vegetarianism, but on the rejection of certain kinds of meat. For example- one of their laws was that no animal that scavenges are permitted for consumption (such as shrimp). The New Testament records Jesus eating fish, as well as the Passover meal (which included lamb), and one would speculate he probably ate other kinds of meat so long as they lined up with the Jewish customs.
As for this effecting their life expectancy, that is up for debate. Back then- the life expectancy of a Christian was low regardless of how well one ate!

They ate lamb and fish. But that is of absolutely no importance to me. I'm sure that Jesus could care less what I choose not to eat. Jesus didn't sin by eating meat, and I don't sin by not eating meat. Grow up. Read some books. And brush your damn teeth.

You do realize that all evidence points to Jesus and his apostles being members of the Essenes and they were all vegetarian as part of their principles. Jesus feeds other people meat, but never eats it himself. The only sinner here is you for trying to bait others in being angry. That is against everything that Jesus stood for and died for.

I believe if you look closely at the painting of the Last Supper, you'll definitely see a KFC tub under the table. And I don't think it was filled with slaw. But nowhere was it said that eating meat was a sin or frowned upon, in and of itself.

No, because Jesus said "this is my body broken for you ...take eat" and "this is my blood shed for you...take drink in remembrance of me" ....sounds like cannibals to me..probably why they couldn't find him in the tomb...they were cooking him up for dinner like he told them to...
