Since tomatoes are in the nightshade family, is it safe to saute and eat the leaves? I was told a friend ate tomato leaves, but I never heard of this.

Someone I know asked a question here (she was joking too) saying she found meat in a dish she ordered so does she have a legal case and so many people said very rude things to her. Have people had bad experience with vegetarians or something? I'm one, too and I'll answer people's questions about it but I never try to impress my way of life on anyone else. Despite this I have people say the rudest most thoughtless things like, "God how can you live like that?" with a sneer on their faces. Can someone please explain why this happens?

I work in an office all day and I like to eat every few hours. I am looking for some new ideas of snacks and/or lunch food that I could bring to work. I have access to a microwave and fridge. I don't eat meat or dairy. I am getting tired of munching on carrots every day - just looking for some new ideas. Whats your favorite food to snack on?

Im taking my ex on a picnic..with the hopes that we can work through our probs and start over. He is agreeing to go out, but im going to surprise hime with a picnic. We have never done anything like this before, so I thought this would be a good idea. He is a vegetarian. What types of food should I bring? Also, is there any thing special I can do since this is such an important date?

Which types are low in carbohydrates?

And what are carbohydrates made out of? Are there differences between complex carbs and simple carbs?

Thanks.

Is it because you disagree with killing for food, or because you simply don't like the taste or texture of meat?
