Simple carbohydrates – These carbs are broken down and digested very quickly, but most simple carbs contain refined sugars and very few essential vitamins and minerals. Examples include table sugar, fruit juice, milk, yogurt, honey, molasses, maple syrup and brown sugar.
Complex carbohydrates – The complex carbs take longer to digest and are packed with fiber, vitamins and minerals. Examples include vegetables, whole grain breads, oatmeal, legumes, brown rice and wheat pasta.
What it comes to is that simple carbs hinder the process of reducing body fat.

There is no such thing as a low carb vegetable! By defintion, fruits and vegetables are carbohydrate based substances, almost 100% of a veggie is carbohydrate! The odd vegetables out of the pack are those which contain protein as well, eg.beans.

The "low carb" thing is a fad. And a dangerous one at that. Atkins is killing people.
A carbohydrate is a "double sugar." Essentially a high energy food. If you're sedentary, then carbs get stored. If you're going on a hike or a bike ride, then "carbo-loading" is a good thing.
Bananas and carrots are high carb.

Green veggies and white are the best for nutriention. But all veggies are good for u. Carbs in veggie are fine too. Potatos have alot of starch in it so thats where all the carbs come from. Carrots have sugar in them but are still good for u.Thet have beta carotene. The good weighs out the bad.
