People don't need as much protein as they think. Too much leads to several problems including Kidney problems. Do some research on how much you need. Most vegetarians get enough just by eating regular foods.

buddy the body only needs one gram of protein per kg of body weight ie if u weigh 70 kg u need 70 gm of protein ,100 if u are working out too hard or are hurt badly. considering that most non veg foods have 17% protein in them ,a 350gm non veg diet or a 600gm high protein veg diet like soy or tofu should be good enough . packed powders can never have all the 13 amino acids required though they may say so . the best protein source according to the world health org is the humble and cheap egg

You don't need all that excess protein. It's almost impossible to be protein deficient if you eat a healthy, varied diet. Too much protein is a detriment to your health. It taxes the kidneys unecessarily and requires a large amount of water from your tissues in order for your kidneys to excrete it (this is why people experience rapid weight loss on high-protein diets.) It also leaches calcium from your bones.

Most people consume too much protein. The information we have been given about protein is now known to be wrong.
It is difficult to have a diet with insufficient protein.

dont use a high protein shake hun, use something like complan, or an alternative if you cant get it, ccombine this with a sensible diet, meat, fish, greens, eggs, potatoes and the likie you will gain your ten pounds no bother. good luk

dont drink those at all in my opinion....just eat things with a lot of protien, and take viatmins, and u might wnna talk to ur doctor about it cuz he may know sum things that you may wanna try!!
