The recipe calls for Dijon mustard and orange marmalade to be slathered on the outside of the ham but I have a family member that does not like mustard. Just curious if anyone had a suggestion for what would compliment the orange flavor other than mustard. Thanks!!

I am making some homemade jam and would like to also use the jam on cookies that I am making for a cookie exchange party. I am wondering if the cookies need to be stored differently, with the homemade jam. Normally I would not refrigerate, but without the preservatives in the jam, I'm not sure what should be done.

Thanks!

Not a culinary genius. We received a large ham as a gift but it is not labeled to say whether or not it is fully cooked. It was vacuum sealed and the juices were clear and it's very tender. I just made some into hamsalad (cold) and had a horrible afterthought i maybe shouldnt've have done that. Come to think of it, I don't think i've ever seen a large ham before it's cooked so....? Help please, I ate some and now need to know whether I should throw up. :)

This cake is one and the same, just 2 different names. My best childhood friend's mom used to make it and I haven't been able to locate the recipe. I remember that it was chocolate, had pecans and caramels in it. If anyone would share their recipe, I would appreciate it.

Thanks!

I cook fish often, but it seems that catfish is a more difficult fish than others to develop a predictable taste with (mainly grilled). Sometimes it has a great taste, then other times, there is a very harsh "fishy" flavor that overwhelms the spices and seasonings. I've heard of soaking the fish in hot sauce, but I don't know the specifics of how to do that. Any help is appreciated.

There are a lot of questions pertaining to apple cider on yahoo answers, but not a lot of recipes or ideas on how to use it, besides drinking it. I got a couple gallons and there is no way I can drink all that! Tell me how I can use it in cooking. I've Googled and Yahoo'd but can't find any good ideas. Maybe ya'll can. Do you know how it holds up in the freezer? Will it still be good for anything when I thaw it? I'm at a loss and I really hate to waste it. It wasn't expensive but I just have this thing about wasting food!!!!!! My Mamaw instilled that in me.....Anybody??????????????
I thank ya'll in advance.

Like if you have a tasty recipe for a cookie that turns out hard, is there something you can change or add to make it soft or chewy but not change the taste?
