I need a really really good tastes. That is my boyfriends favorite dish and I wanna be able to make it and surprise him with it on his birthday. I'm not usually the cook in this relationship but I have some skill and I want to put it to use.

Ok so I seasoned the ground beef I added some sauteed onions and peppers with a lil tomato sauce then put it all together. Then I mixed some bread crumbs, parmesan cheese and eggs together and put the mixture all together with the meat then I molded it into the loaf shape spread some ketchup on it then wrapped it in bacon and now it's in the oven.
Will it taste good?

Try as I might, my 5 year old refuses to eat any herbs or vegetables that are green. Even while watching Food Network, she'll love a dish until she sees peas, or green beans, or parsley. Then she'll say yuck and doesn't like it anymore.
I know arugula has a peppery taste, and I really want to try it, but we don't believe in making a separate dish or meal for our children just because one doesn't like something.
So, what else can I use?

i don't like spending hours on preperation. i do like like throwing stuff in the smoker and then adding stuff though. so far i've had pretty good luck with almost everything this way, except for the elusive," lazy man's killer brisket".

It's tomato season! With all the different varieties to choose from, which is the best-tasting? And what's your favourite tomato dish?

I will be staying next to one of the best out door fish markets in Italy this weekend. I can shop only on Saturday morning.... What would you get? What would you cook if you had the variety I have available? Please no lobster or salmon. I mean I like lobster but I’d rather eat it when in Maine or on the Cape. Salmon is too common.
There is also a vegetable market... I’m in heaven. What would you buy to cook for the weekend?

Can I just just and peel them, and put them in freezer bags? I will eventually be making apple pies with them, so I don't care if they turn brown or not.

Or do I have to steam them a bit first?

I'm making cookies in the morning and don't want to run to the grocery to buy baking powder. Does anyone remember how much baking soda and how much cream of tartar I can substitute for the baking powder? I'm pretty sure those are the only 2 items in baking powder and I have those. Thanks!
