It's going in a salad with roast pinenuts, roast garlic, fresh dill and salmon. I am stumped as to which one I like better with it and am seeking opinions. dressing is olive oil and balsamic vinegar and lemon juice

I'd use the herb chevre. It will add flavor without overwhelming the salmon. Can I come for lunch?

I agree that cheese with fish is usually out. Definitely not Kosher. But if you really want it I would go with something not too strong. Don't want to hide the salmon. Maybe Feta or even mozzarella. Defiantly not bleu, too strong. Camembert or Brie can be too strong and the texture wrong for a salad.

You know, I think grated Havarti with dill would be very nice in that salad. It complements salmon beautifully.

Max - parmesan flakes. But otherwise, no cheese needed. And plenty of rocket to balance the fat content.

the seasoning is already tasty. natural cheese will bring out the cheesy taste better than any other one. it acts like a marinate.

Sorry - I just can't see any cheese at all going with fish.
