My friend stores the extra flour w/ seasoning in a bowl with a lid and brings it out everytime he makes fried chicken. I thought eewww gross! I worried about the germs and food poisioning since it was left over, but he says since you fry the chicken at such high temps that it gets rid of any food poisioning and so on. Is this true?

I have a 4.14Kg (9.12lb) "beef blade pot roast with the bone in".
I was thinking about cooking it in the slow cooker.

Foods I have on hand are:
cauliflower
red pepper
broccoli
carrots
celery
lemon juice
1/2 bottle red wine
apples
mushrooms
eggs
milk
lots of different canned beans
garlic
most spices (curry, oregano, thyme, cayenne, paprika, etc)
quinoa
rice (brown and white)

I don't have potatoes but I could go out an get them if necessary.

What should I make for dinner tomorrow?

What sides should I make?

Any recipes that match my ingredients would be greatly appreciated.

Thank You
:)

I haven't used fondant a whole lot, but seem to have a knack for it. I made a cake last month for a friend (for her little kid) and I used strawberry filling. But I had a HUGE mishap after I covered it with buttercream and was applying the fondant. The strawberry filling was squishing out everywhere and made a huge mess. Luckily I had enough fondant to layer it once more and evenly. I've never had anyone show me how to use it, but I'd like to know how to fix this problem. I didn't use dowels last time, but I don't think that was the problem.

I'm going to be making another cake again, only this time I'm using cheesecake as filling this time; and I always use pound cake as the "cake" part.

Thanks!

I'm looking for a simple but tasty recipe that doesn't take more than half an hour. Something that would go well with a salad, potatoes and some green veggies. I make fried tilapia with salt and pepper and it tastes amazing. Would it work for cod?
