Simply dilute it with ketchup. I do it all the time for my Mom. She hates it spicy. (Brown Sugar and Honey only make it sweeter!)

I know you may find this very odd but herseys chocloate syrup. You don't taste the chocolate and it really mellows the heat and sweetens it just a little not like sugar and honey they sweeten it abd don't really mellow the heat.
Learned it at a chillie cook off the judges would judge for heat and then add a little chocolate syrup and judge for flavor.

Try Catsup a little at a time if it changes to much add a little steak sauce that will bring back bbq taste. I make my own with catsup steak sauce hot sauce and a little brown sugar.

Hmmm, I say add a little ketchup to keep it's consistency. Gradually add a lil sugar to cut the spice, taste after each addition to insure you don't over fix it!

honey, syrup and sugar. Each will work by itself, but together it will work wonders! Sugar by itself will make it thinner, same with syrup. But together with the honey, it will keep its consistency, or become thicker.
