Use the equivalent of the eggs and oil by substituting "mayo" Mayonnaise is made up of oil and eggs. For 1 1/3 cup of oil - use maybe 2 eggs instead of three and 4-6 Tablespoons of mayo!

Applesauce or butter. When my roommate was on a real no-fat diet kick, she always substituted applesauce for oil. It helps to moisten and hold the batter together (the eggs also help).

I believe the box will tell you that if you want to cut out the oil to just use more water.

Use 1/4 cup of mayonaise, since it is mostly oil and egg yolks. It will also make your cake extra rich.

i know you can use apple sauce instead of oil. im not sure what your measurements are as far as the oil, though, and im not sure of the standard replacement of apple sauce for oil. im going to guess 1 cup instead of the oil. please let me know if im wrong, but i have used 1 can of apple pie filling in boxed cake mix and omitted the oil... it was awesom!!! good luck and let me know. im new to the site! knowing your making chocolate, (and i made a french vanilla,) i am curious how itll work out!

I do not use the oil at all. I use extra water instead. You will never know the difference. Good luck!
