I need to take an appetizer to a church dinner- but I promised my boyfriend that I would take something he would eat (he's really picky- think plain hamburgers, pancakes with no syrup). Any suggestions on what I should make?

I am having some friends over this weekend and want to have appetizers, but am tired of the same old cocktail wieners, pigs in a blanket, chips and stuff...just want something new to try, something that's basic and pretty easy.... My oven is broken so preferrably things that don't need to be baked. Thanks!!

What should I look for when buying garlic bulbs? I buy the ones I think look OK to me, but it turns out to be very hit and miss; some nice cloves, some dodgy ones. Thanks.

Last Christmas we made hand dipped chocolates which were a huge hit! We are doing it again this year, and I'm looking for ideas of things that would be yummy to combine with chocolate. We are not thinking regular fruit because these things need to last for gifting.

We made chocolate covered potato chips, pretzels, homemade marshmallows, oreos, nutter butters, rice crispy treats.

We also made toffee, sugar roasted walnuts and pecans and peanut brittle. And homemade cocoa mix.
Any other ideas to add to our list? Thanks in advance.
