I always use canola oil. Just any liquid vegetable oil should be fine.

Canola oil or corn oil.

Steer away from olive oil because it will impart a taste to it that you might not want.

Olive oil also has a lower smoke point than canola or corn, meaning that you can't heat it as high before it starts to go.

Just a vegetable oil will do.

any kind is fine. I'd avoid olive oil, too flavorful. I make mine in canola, just because it's a little bit healthier

Olive is best.
canola or vegetable will do also
