I make it every year so I know that it doesnt last real long. It grows mold on the top quickly. I canned some before. Its kind of a pain, but it last alot longer that way.

Applesauce lasts for about seven days uncovered and fourteen days covered, depending on the applesauce. If you make the applesauce and boil it for 20 minutes, then put it on "Heat" for ten minutes, the applesauce may last for three weeks. If you peel the apples, mince them, place them in a deep-dish cooking pot and boil in the oven for 30 minutes, the applesauce would last up to two months or more. But just to be on the safe side, store any applesauce for a maximum of three days.

Yes peel and core your apples . Place in a pot with a small amount of water 2 - 3 tbsp. lemon juice ( acidic acid ) small amount of sugar . These amounts will depend on the amount of apples you are doing as you did not declare the quantity . Now if you want something different and neat for your family Pink Applesauce . Purchase Empire apples , core them , but leave the skin on while boiling them . After apples are cooked to softened stage , press through a sieve or turn through a colander . Sprinkle with cinnamon and serve warm Mmmm Mmmm good stuff ! Apple sauce is really pretty simple , now apple butter requires more ingredients and cooking time !

I would look at the FDA website- maybe they can tell you. I do know from making baby food for my daughter that it freezes wonderfully though! I bought the rubbermaid little storage tubs (8 for around $3) and filled those and froze until ready to use. My baby food manual says it lasts up to 3 days in fridge, 2 months in freezer. The little tubs were perfect for individual servings!

1 to 2 weeks. But if it's real good, you wont have it that long.
Need a recipe? When I saw the question, I thought you needed one.
