I remember my grandma's cousin making this when I was a child. It looks like a small cookies or cake like. all I remember is that there is a creamy thing inside it. It's my favourite but I don't know how to do it. Anyone knows the recipe? It would be recalling a great moment with them when they were alive. They are great bakers.

I think it had a custard to it also, and I believe it was an old German dessert dish.

My problem is: I hate cook books, so I cook without.
Some call it French flair; I don't know, it usually works, but not for scones!!!
What I make I call 'pebbles' -that tells you exactly what they're like...
My son loves them and indeed they are edible but I think it is high time I learnt to 'make them proper'.
I anticipate a fair number of very stupid answers -as usual; but I thank you all in anticipation for some sensible advice. ;-)

I dont like cookies that are really sweet like the nestle toll house ones. Those are extremely sweet for me. Made me sick. I want different types of cookies that are a little crunchy around the edges and chewy in the middle

I have a recipe that calls for the mixture be cooked, but it doesn't taste as good as the version where the eggs aren't cooked. My dad insists that the alcohol 'cooks' the eggs and destroys the bacteria and wants me to make Grandpa's recipe, which doesn't call for boiling the mixture. I'm not so sure and don't want to make anybody sick.

I'm looking for a good chili receipe - something with great flavor, maybe a little hot. I'm tired of the packet seasoning.
