I cook using onions and garlic a lot and the smell lingers for a long time on my hands. I have heard to use lemon juice, but i dont always have that on hand. I have also heard to use salt, but I am on a salt free diet for now, so I dont have that either. What else can you use that you would have around the house?

I will be starting culinary school soon. I would like to buy my first set of REAL cutlery. I want good quality stuff...the kind you see gliding through veggies and meats on the Food Network. I am willing to spend up to 350-500 dollars on a set. I need the basics...chef's knife, boning knife, paring, bread, cleaver...at least. I want to still have these years from now. Please recommend a good cutlery set. Also, it must come in a handy travel case. Thanks in advance!

^^ okay, i don't have much, a pot, a pan, and microwave to cook with, now is there any simple recipe of good lunch or dinner that you like? i running out of food money and i figure i need to cook, but i'm very limited in cooking skills. so far i been living off of raman, very simple steak (little bits so that i don't have to spent too much money on these), shrimp (i don't do these anymore, just too expensive), simple salad, and italian bread (great stuff).

any recipe would be appreciated. oh, and it would be nice to get few fish recipes, mainly salmon. (i need fish oil in my diet) thank you very much. -straving artist in collage. ^^

Well I don't have a Name for mine but in my salad i add,

Baby Spinach Leaves
Sliced Tomato(Not the Small Grape Kind)
Red Onion
Green Bell Pepper
Sliced Baby Carrots
Sliced Cucumber
Dry Roasted Sun Flower Kernels
(And I add just a little bit of fresh squeezed lemon juice. no dressing)

And What I like about the salad is that, it's unique and it's not fattening. And I could add cut up chicken breast to it lol(Well if I want to)

What about you?

I am looking for some good messy recipes for kids. Things like playdoughs, silly putties, paints, bubbles, etc. If you know of any good websites that have free recipes, I would love to hear about them.

I have a Freschetta Naturally Rising "Bake to Rise crust" Pizza that says keep frozen and cook before eating. I got busy and it thawed out, but I'm going to cook it now (and don't try to talk me out of it).

It's a "special deluxe pizza". I've never cooked this brand or flavor before.

Directions are to preheat to 375, place on cookie sheet on center rack, and bake for 30-34 minutes.
It also says until cheese is melted and edges are golden brown.

So, as usual, I cut it in 1/2 and then that in to 1/4's.
The baking sheet (Heavy Duty Foil) is on the center (only rack) of the toaster oven - which has been pre-heating at 500 while I typed this.

How long should I cook this and at what temperature?

I have cooked a lot of other pizza's this way including Digorno's and other rising ones. They weren't thawed however.

I'm going to pick a temperature now, throw it in, and see how it goes. I'll update the details with the final time and the closest one gets a best answer.

Thanks!

Well it doesn't really come out burned, but it gets really smokey in my place. What temperature should I have the element at? Does the size of frying pan make a difference? Oil or no oil?
