German-Style Hamburgers

1/2 cup frozen hash brown potatoes, thawed
1/2 cup chopped onions
2 tablespoons worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 lb ground beef
4 hamburger buns, split
lettuce leaves
tomatoes, slices

In a bowl, combine potatoes, onion, Worcestershire sauce and salt.
Crumble beef over mixture and mix well.
Shape into four patties, about 1/2 inches thick.
In a skillet, cook patties over medium-high heat for 10-12 minutes or until no longer pink, turning once.
Serve on buns with lettuce and tomato.

Parmesan Hamburgers

Ingredients:

1/4 cup onion, finely chopped
2 teaspoons olive oil
1 pound lean ground beef
1/4 cup prepared spaghetti sauce
1/4 cup dry bread crumbs
1/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
1 large egg, beaten
1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
additional spaghetti sauce to top burgers
4 hamburger buns

Preparation:

Sauté the onions in the olive oil until tender and translucent.

In a large bowl, combine the next 6 ingredients and the onions. Mix thoroughly like a meatloaf. Divide into four portions and form patties.

Grill the burgers to almost done. Top with an additional splash of spaghetti sauce and parmesan on the top and finish. Serve on toasted buns.

I am from Texas I like to bar b q them on a grill but first before you want to put all of the hamburger meat into a big bowl and mix in some garlic, meat tenderizer, salt, pepper, and dice up some onions and you want to mix that real good with your hands. Then just simply make your patties to your serving size and put them on a grill. I'm sure they would do fine in the oven or pan. But much better taste on an open flame grill. Hope this helps for ya!

Grate up some onion for a bit of moisture, then add plenty of salt and pepper. Worcestershire is good, but I never have any, so I usually add some soy sauce or some steak sauce before making the patties.
