I got some corn on the cob from the store the other day and I want to make it before it goes bad, but not grill it (way too cold) and no use of a broiler (some suggested that way).

How can I make it on the stove? Boil? Steam?

ALSO...I am a HUGE fan of freezing food to save for later. However, I do know that all foods end up tasting good after freezing. Has anybody out there froze corn on the cob? Is it best to freeze before or after cooking?

Thanks!

Long story short, I am making healthy snacks with kids at a different school each week as part of my internship to be able to graduate form college. I am trying to do halloween fruit kabobs recipe. I do not know where to find relativly inexpensive wooden skewers and I don't think I can do the recipe without them. I went to the King Soopers grocery store and they had bamboo ones that were too thick. I want to find ones that are a little thinner like in the opicture for the recipe. Does anyone know where I can find skewers for making fruit kabobs? (I live in Colorado if that helps at all)

It's made of a very durable plastic-y kind of material, and I've had it for about 3 years, during which time I've put it in the microwave successfully thousands of times. And I don't recall the box the bowls came in saying that you couldn't put them in the microwave. But today, when i was heating up some spaghetti-o's in the bowl, i heard a loud pop, and the bowl had cracked all down the side and bottom.

Why, after 3 years and many successful microwave heatings, did the bowl crack???
