It makes red meat stay looking fresh and retain it's red color almost indefinitely. Do you think that is a form of deception? The meat could be rotten and still look fresh.

What is something I can make with eggs.

I dont want an omlet, scrambled, benidicks (sp), sunny side up.
Nothing like that.

Something different that you dont normally have everyday, or even every week, or month. Something that is rare, yet has ingredence that are in almost every average kitchen.

Thank you for your suggestions ahead of time

I am wanting some Iowa wines for Christmas. BUT, Iowa law does not allow them to ship wines directly to Texas. I am over 21, and can send my DL - thats not the issue. The issue is interstate wine laws. However, they CAN ship to Ill. I am thinking of having the wine shipped to a Mail Boxes Etc. type store in Chicago where they can repack it and ship it to me in Houston. But, to assure the store owner/manager in Chicago that I am not pulling something illegal I would love to be able to show them that shipping wine from IL to Texas is not illegal. Does anybody have a link or something that can give the store owner that assurance so they will act as my intermediate with confidence? If you can post a link or resource, I'd be so thankful!!!

Unforunately I wound up eating a section of the bar before I noticed somthing was wrong. I then looked down and in my hand, maggots were falling out of the wrapper. They had bored holes all thru the bar as well as the almonds. The people at the store did'nt even offer me my money back! Out side of being grosssed out and having a doctor tell me I am ok; all is well. I have lost my desire to eat chocolate and will never shop at that store again. Waiting for a call back from Hershey's. What would you do?

We're going to make chili, but my husband is allergic to green peppers. Can I swap green for red? I know it's okay in an uncooked dish or in a stove-top dish like omelets. But a stew is different. Do the red cook up differently?

On peeling a raw potato we sometimes run into black spots that must be cut out. Once in a while, the potato is so black it is discarded. That's OK. We're used to it.
My question is this. We also bake Idahoes. I can't recall ever opening a baked potato and seeing the black spots. What happens to the black spots when you bake. Where do they go?
