bakeries have the capability. They run a sheet of stiff sugar thru a printer than has food-safe inks in it. They then set the sheet of printed sugar on the cake. After an hour or so, the sugar sort of dissolves into the icing and you are left w/ a photo on your cake!

yea sure,
I did that on my birthday cake ^^
just send the photo that you want to print it to a bakery or any place for cakes and they’ll do it for you =)
but if you’re asking for a way to do it at home.. I’m sorry I don’t know how
maybe if you asked the bakery or a cooker?

As an ex photographic printer, I can certainly state the words "Don't be ridiculous"
Have you ever heard of digital manipulation programmes such as Photoshop????
You can have your cake and eat it, but with silver halides, it would be poisonous.
Best stick to food colourings if I was you.
