what is black when you buy it,red when you use it,gray when you throw it away?

How about those black olives with the red pimentos? That gives me the black and the red. As far as what it looks like after I am done eating it I never looked in the toilet bowl to check that.

The answer must be Charcoal, because they are black in the bag when you are pouring them into the barbecue. They are red when they are ready to use, and gray when they have turned to ashes.
