I have always used oysters, but last year we had sweet italian sausage stuffing and it was awesome so doing it again this year. What will you be putting in your stuffing?

I will not be making the stuffing this year, my Mom volunteered to make the stuffing for our thanksgiving dinner. It is called Sausage Apple Stuffing.....it has chicken broth, apples, celery, onion, dried cranberries, pork sausage, and your regular herbed stuffing and it has rosemary herb seasoning in it as well......its a new recipe she is going to try and I so can't wait to try it!

I had an awesome stuffing similar to your last year's sausage stuffing. They also added bacon (c'mon what doesn't taste better with bacon?!?!?) Definitley not low fat but awesome. I beleive it was made with a boxed stuffing, but just adding all the extras.. celery onion bacon sausage. Yummy!!

I will be making the old fashioned homemade stuffing this year.

1 loaf day old bread made into croutons
onions and garlic and celery carmelized, poultry seasoning, butter and a bit of water. Mix them all together. place in the bird and let r rip.

Pork sausage and hamburger crumbled and fried up together with onions, celery, poultry seasoning, sage, garlic, salt and pepper.
After that cools, I add an egg or two along with some chunks of butter, mix it with my clean hands, then add the plain bread crumbs to it, alternately with some milk till I get the consistency I like.

I made what I call "Great Aunt Stuffing". It's the typical stuff you got at family dinners. Only I used sourdough and some potato buns for the bread cubes, tons of garlic, and fresh sage. It was great.

My dad did sausage stuffing last year.

I just do a standard herb stuffing with celery and onions. Nothing special. I personally love sausage and nuts and raisins, but it doesn't always please the whole crowd.

i am from the south and we mostly eat southern style cornbread dressing....i would love to try your kind though just to see how it taste....we use southern cornbread crumbled, few pieces day old bread crumbs, sauteed onions and celery, beaten eggs, little melted butter, fresh or canned chicken broth, sage, cream soup mushroom and chicken, salt & pepper and a boiled chicken deboned into chunky pieces....bake in cassorole dish or stuffed in a turkey ...we usually do both....happy thanksgiving!
