We all know the Irish can drink, but are they really by far the biggest drinker in the world? From my study experience, the Korean and Russian are by far the best I can think of.

Hey Guys, my hubby and I lived in Germany for a while and they have all these nice recipes with quark or creme fraiche. But since we moved to Australia I cant find these items anywere. Can someone tell me what to use instead?

They sell cottage cheese in the local convenience store, absolutely unprocessed, just chunk of it, covered with a paper and pressed to resemble a box. Some "boxes" are with raisins, and others are with vanilla. They are delicious, and I love them. What do you think it's better to do: to buy all vanillas and add raisins to it, or to buy all raisins, and add some vanilla? I love raisins, but vanilla cheeses smell better.

My little sister decided to make some noodles in the microwave last night, she didnt put much water in them, and they caught fire when she opened the microwave door, she pulled them out straight away tho.

How did you give up leather?
I decided to become vegan, but several things I have are leather... such as my car seats, my rainbow sandals, many of my shoes...

Would I not be a bad vegan if I kept these, but did not buy anything leather from now on? How did you deal with these things wen becoming vegan?

I am interested in making Ethanol "moonshine" and am wondering where I can get plans to make a distiller. All the websites I have been to only have pictures of distillers. I know the basic consept of how it works. Some distillers look complicated and I am wondering what all the parts are for. Anyone know of any websites that show this kind of information?

I've flipped through every recipe book in my house and i'm just not finding anything that sounds appealing. Since the holidays are coming up, tons of family are coming to our house and i'll be doing the drinks and desserts. I have 5 neices and one nephew coming and while i'm making fun adult drinks, I really wanted to make something the kids will enjoy. I have the typical ciders and hot cocoa, but I was thinking maybe someone out there has a neat, tasty drink recipe that kids like. Sortof like a sparkling, sweet kind of drink.. if anyone is catching my drift. I know I can go out and buy the Welch's sparkling grape juice or cider but they've all had that. I'm looking for a holiday change of pace! Anyways, any thoughts or ideas would be much appreciated! Thanks!

I found some articles today that bothered me; they stated that olive oil and other such like vegetable oils are actually unhealthy and lead to higher risks of cancer, all the while touting animal fats as good sources of fat (and avocados, which I can't disagree with; avocados are healthy). To me, it smacks of Atkins, but I don't know. What are your opinions on this?
