Hey,
I'm a teenager and I'm having a Christmas party, I was wondering what sort of food I should have, after all pizza isn't very Christmassy, but then again the whole roast is a bit too much, do you have any ideas (vegatarien recipes are welcome).
Should I have a themed party? Or is this too much to think about during the Christmas period?
Do you have any Christmassy games?

Thanks a lot xxx

I'm going to make Paula Deen's Pumpkin Pecan Pie. It calls for 1 cup dark corn syrup. I would like to use maple syrup instead. Is that an equal substitution?

I have decided to host a fondue party for the Holidays. What brand and/or type of fondue pot do you recommend? I want to do one meat, one cheese, and one chocolate. I realize I will have to buy 3 seperate pots for this. Also any good recipes and/or suggestions for my party? Thanks for the help!!

Ok so it's not too practical for me to run out to the grocery store for 1 ingredient as I live a few miles from the nearest store plus I also have a baby girl and it's not so easy to just run out to the store anymore to get what I need. Anyway, I'm wanting to make some apple pie but I don't have butter for the crust. There's a recipe on the back of the Crisco can for a double-crust pie, had anyone used that recipe and did the crust come out flaky? Or does one absolutely need butter for pie crusts to turn out tender and flaky?

The detailed breakdown of the £1.8 billion a year spent on meat, poultry, vegetables, potatoes and fruit for civil servants and ministers across the Government – published for the first time by Hilary Benn, the Rural Affairs Secretary – shows that only 25% of bacon bought across the Government is British. About 95% of the apples bought by the NHS are imports while just one in ten fish served by the Foreign Office is from British waters
