True, it dont see the point in using the crazy hott sauces....Ive seen friends order the hottest wings, an only see them eat 3 or 4, it makes no sence. Must be a power trip or something..silly
I however, do like hot sauce...the mild kind...too hott is dumb....I like many enjoy the flavor

For me hot sauce is a condiment just like salt and black pepper. It gives my meal the extra flavor, or seasoning that it lacks. I use it to a minimal because too much of it would be a waste because I wouldn't be able to taste any other flavors of the meal that I am eating. I don't know anyone that over use it just to sweat. They use an appropriate amount in which they can handle.

The point of eating hot sauce isn't to sweat. Some people like the pepper flavor that it imparts to the food, also people have different levels of heat tollerance. I love peppers, but my wife thinks even the tamest jalepeno is burning hot and will make her cry.

It's not just the hot. It's the flavor. And the combination of heat and flavor give the food more excitement. It's all a matter of taste. Some people prefer bland. Some people like a little kick. And some people like a LOT of kick!

They may be trying to curb their appetites. I've heard that hot sauce makes you feel full faster and for longer. Plus, it tastes good. It isn't just the spicy, there is a great flavor along with it.

Not a Mexican, huh? jk
I like to spice up the food sometimes, thus the sauce is used.

I agree I want to enjoy what I'm tasting not to burn my mouth and drink a ton of water.
