I'm a traditionalist, so I don't get too innovative. Along with the apple, mince, and pumpkin pies my family had when I was growing up, I've added pecan pie as an adult. For something different, you can add cranberry nut and pumpkin nut breads, served warm and spread with whipped butter.
For drinks, I follow my family tradition of wine (whichever you prefer) for the adults and apple cider for the kids. And with dessert, nothing compliments pie like a good cup of coffee. (Or milk for the kids.)

Coldstone makes some terrific ice cream pies, such as pumpkin and apple. Also, consider a Bakers Square Triple Berry Pie or even a Red Velvet Cake (my favorite!). You can also consider creme brulee (every one gets to torch their own sugar topping!) or even a tiramisu.
To drink? We've had a nice Merlot for years now and it goes well with turkey. You might also consider a Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay, or Sauvignon Blanc. Keep your reds light, such as Sangiovese. A punch can also be festive, but should not be overly sweet. Two cans frozen lemonade, 2 packages frozen raspberries, mixed with 2 litres of gingerale for raspberry lemonade. Throw in some vodka if you want! :)

Desserts:
Warm gingerbread with a little scoop of vanilla ice cream, applesauce cake with no icing and plenty of walnuts in it, spice cake with butter cream cheese frosting, sweet potatoe pie, parsnip pie (no one ever guesses what is actually in it---they just eat it and it's healthier than a lot of pies), cranberry raisin pie, layered orange curd with fresh whipped cream that has a bit of toasted cocoanut in it.
Drinks:
Spiced apple cider, hot cocoa, and this year we'll play coffee bar with a new espresso maker and plenty of sugar free syrup choices. We also make a punch of ginger ale and cranberry juice and float mandarin oranges in it. The alcohol is limited to a glass or two of wine with dinner.

I love the idea above of an ice cream cake or pie. They are yummy any time of year!
Favorite drinks to serve are mulled cider or mulled wine. Buy a packet of mulling spices -- I find them for $.79 at Cost Plus World Market. Simmer red wine or cider in a pot for at least ten minutes, and serve hot. Pick a sweeter, gentler red wine like a merlot. Add a touch of sugar to the wine, if you want to cheat a bit.
