I'm thinking of making cheese soup. Has anyone else made this, and if so, was it nice? Will give it to my mother in law to try..... Thanks.

This may be a more appropriate place to ask this question.

I'm looking for very good fruit juice drinks, who’d like to submit their favorite home recipe. Only Home Made drinks.

I have berries, strawberries, apples, bananas, carrots, grapes, and lemons. It's the time of year where I slow down a great deal because it gets dark early. I usually make fruit drinks to aid the digestive process, build the immune system and to give me energy. I'd like to try different home made fruit drinks this year. Who has to best all natural fruit drink recipe. I use all organic fruits. If you have detail, please leave a comment on my blog at http://connectingus-net.blogspot.com

My fiance is british and is missing his porkie pies dearly. If anyone has a recipe that they don't mind sharing so I can surprise him, I would be most grateful!! (Also, if you've got a recipe for Yorkshire Pudding that would be fantastic!)

Hey, I would like to become a full veggie but that is soooo out of the picture (parents). How many of you eat all of these things? Do you still call yourself a vegetarian? Why do you eat these things and not anything else?? Thanks.

Do you eat the same thing every day or do you like to change? I have two kids and a husband to feed every morning. We are all getting sick of the same old thing. We usually eat eggs, bacon, toast, sometimes French Toast, sometimes Oatmeal. On Sundays we eat Eggs Benedict but we like that, so that's ok. BTW, my boys hate Pancakes for some reason. Please give me some ideas about some other things to make for Breakfast.
Thanks!

So summary: My family lives close to each other but tends to do more of a pot luck for holidays...every one brings something and we eat. My husbands family his mom cooks which is great but I know from past experience that what begins as a lunchtime thanksgiving will turn into a dinner time thanksgiving.

Add along with that the inability to go out and eat lunch (because his family would consider it rude) I have found it good practice for me and every one else to eat a good breakfast and to take along some kind of appetizer or something to munch on while the wonderful aromas of food fill the air for hours lol.

I'm taking a watergate salad and chocolate pie...for the main meal...but I need appetizer/munchy ideas. This year to his mom has had heart surgery...so it needs to be low fat, low cholesterol, low sodium. It's a 2 1/2 hour drive there...so something no refrigerated, or cold that I can put in an thermos/insulated bag, or reheat in the microwave.

Help :)

Hi there,
Two people have told me recently that there is a website on the internet where you type in the contents of your kitchen cupboard, and it provides you with meal suggestions and recipes based on what you have.
Does anyone know what it is? Apparently it was featured on GMTV.
Thanks,
Rosie

Even before I was born I hated them. When my mother was pregnant with me she would get sick everytime she ate vegies. I want to become a vegetarian and hav e actully tyid before but I can not eat the vegatables. I gag all the time. Also i love the taste of meat, Like chicken and stuff I can't really eat beef anymore becuase it looks kinda gross to me but I love chicken. I don't know how I wil be able to transstoin from eating meat wich I have always loved to vegetables wich I always hated. Can you give me some ideas.

Now you can't say I'm being a "preachy vegan" or "morally superior", since i'm only talking to veg*ns.

Has anyone else noticed that, when a question is asked on this forum and receives a good mix of answers from omnis and veg*ns, that the veg*n answers are usually a bit longer, more thoughtful, contain better vocabulary words, make better use of the rules of grammar, and contain less insults and incendiary comments?

I've often noticed after two or three long, well thought out veg*ns answers, there is usually an onmi answer consisting of "EAT MEET ITS GOOD", or something similar.

Why do you think this is?

To wipe out meat across the world? Or to just stop the cruel ways they kill animals (which I can understand)?

Because if you're trying to wipe out all meat... it's not going to happen. They need beef cows and fish and poultry for the pet food industry. And they also use it in zoos to feed large carnivores.

Don't get me wrong, I'm totally against factory farms for meat and dairy. Which is why I pay more to eat an organic diet.

Don't tell me I'm an animal hater please, I love them. I was a vegetarian for about three months, and I consulted a nutritionist and ate all the things I was supposed to be eating to get my vitamins. But the scale kept on tipping down... I went to my doctor. He told me that with my blood type ('O') that it would be healthier for me to eat meat. Many people with 'O' type blood need to eat meat to stay healthy, he said.

So I'm not a very good cook at all. Well not so much that I'm not a good cook, I just don't know how!! I live with my boyfriend now, and I would like to cook dinner more often. It seems we eat the same meals all the time; tacos, pasta, burgers, chicken breast. I'm looking for some simple meal ideas that are easy to prepare and taste good. I've looked online, but there is so much out there I would like to know ones that are proven to be good and easy! Thanks!

I'm going to make Sauerkraut with some spicy turkey sausage. What else can I make to go with this dish? All I can think of is perogies. I heard somewhere that sauerkraut typically served ontop of mashed potatoes....but that doesn't sound right to me. Wouldn't the kraut make the potatoes all watery?

I never hear of anyone serving rat anymore... Although rabbit is not the tastiest rodent of them all, it is the cutest and only one that western society does not frown upon eating. Nutria should be quite tasty too come to think about it.
