Maker's Mark is an excellent American whiskey that is excellent straight up. If you want a great blended Irish whiskey go with Jameson. Both of these brands are typically more expensive, but like with all alcohol you get what you paid for. Both of these are far superior to JD and JB or Crown Royal.

I love Irish and Canadian Whiskey. Jameson for my favorite Irish and Crown Royal for my favorite Canadian. I don't care for most American Whiskey, it tends to be very heavy in flavor and I prefer something a bit cleaner.

Without question, Makers Mark. The secret is the limestone in the spring water with which it is distilled. There's only one place in the world that can lay claim to the world's most beautiful women, fastest horses, and BEST whiskey...Kentucky.
