I have 2 summers worth of experiance bartending at World's of Fun in Kansas City and it serves very limited possibilities (maybe 20 different liquors). I'm wanting to start a job bartending at one of the local casino's possibly and the job descriptions say I need to have a strong knowledge of drink recipes and different types of alchohol. Is there a home-based training program or something (book or computer) that is a good way to cram my head with recipes and the sort?

I really hate lunch meat because it upsets my stomach. Do you know of any foods that are easy to make and don't need to be cooked? Whenever we go to the beach or something, I have to take those sandwiches and I'm always hungry because I can hardly finish one. Any suggesttions would be appreaciated. (Peanut butter and jam upsets my stomach too) :(

I got a Cure-81 ham on sale yesterday & thought I would fix it for dinner tonight. My mom always slices, seasons with pineapple & brown sugar and then bakes for a couple of hours. I thought I would try it in my crock-pot this time, but not sure what to add & how long to cook. I have brown sugar & pineapple as well as a cabinet full of spices - What do you suggest?

I also planned sides of garlic smashed potatos, peas & mushrooms and homemade rolls, but would something else go better? I have the above veggies as well as carrots, broccoli, pinto beans, squash, corn on the cob, etc......

Thanks for your help!!

Hi, I am 30 years old and I just decided to become a vegetarian a week ago. All my family members, friends and relatives are meat eaters. It kind of makes me feel being singled out every time I refuse their offer of food with meat in it. I only told my husband and daughter about my decision. I guess it would be hard to deal with when it comes to Christmas time because if I don't eat meat they would ask me why, and I am very light weight as it is now. They would be very concerned how this vegetarian diet would do to me. I had a thought that I was gonna tell them that I had had enought of meat already. But the true reason is I can't bear to see the animal being killed so cruelly by butchers. But I don't want to make me sound like a hero or make them feel guilty or have any discomfort when eating meat, so could anyone out there please give me an idea of how to explain the reason on giving up eating meat properly.as my husband still thinks I am not serious about it .
